What a gem we have here in Marietta. Kristina and the crew at Speedy are most professional and honest. My 91 VW Jetta is having shifting issues and after seeing such good reviews I decided to give this place a try. Boy I am glad I did. I had already taken this to another shop who gave me an outrageous price to fix without even looking at the car. Speedy took time to diagnose my vehicle and determined it is in need of bushings. They felt another local mechanic was better suited to do this work and pointed me in his direction. Even though they had my VW for two days and used their lift to thoroughly diagnose, they charged me nothing. Businesses like this should be commended and should go far. I will definitely be back when issue warrants and I will shout their name from the rooftops.

Amazing place to have transmission repairs done! I had to have the manual transmission on my 2009 Corolla done and not only was the work completed on time but precisely on the spot for the price quoted. I refer all of my friends and family to here if they need transmission repairs. I would not go anywhere else!

I used Speedy Transmission twice for my Trailblazer SS and the service was beyond my expectations. This most recent visit, I dropped it off for some transmission diagnostics on a shift issue. While the vehicle was under their care, they always called me before they closed to keep me updated on the status of the repair. They were not able to fix the issue, but gave me advice to where I could possibly have the issue solved. If I ever need any transmission work done that I cannot handle, Speedy will always be my first choice.

Took my car there to have it fixed and they gave me a price and a time frame. Called and said that it was done. I went to pay and it was less than what he told me and everything is smooth. I will be taking my other cars there.

About a year ago when purchasing a vehicle I asked them to take a look at my transmission, it felt like it was shifting irregularly at high speeds so I wanted to see if that was the reason. The owner came out and looked at it and quickly found out it was just a cylinder misfire. Didn't charge me for anything. I did not need any work after all but was able to refer my parents to them who did need a transmission replaced, they were extremely pleased with how well they were taken care of. Fast forward a few months, I noticed oil leaking in my driveway and had taken it to my mechanic to look at. Turns out is was the rear main seal which required removal of the transmission. My usual mechanic offered to fix it and game me a fair price but was told it would take about 3 days due to scheduling. Not only was speedy transmission less costly, they were also able to get me in the following day and I was able to pick it up that afternoon. As bad an experience that needing transmission work is, they certainly made it a positive one. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing transmission work.

They were unable to help me at the price point I wanted (because my car is older and it would cost more than it's worth) but they didn't even charge me a diagnostic fee to look at my transmission and see if it was something simple. Super friendly and helpful. A less reputable place would have behaved much differently!

I came across this place doing a google search. They were not able to assist with my car but referred me to a place that also takes Easy Pay. The ladies in the office were so nice and professional. I like the fact that they were nice enough to refer me to someone else for help. I cannot say how the vehicle service is however with the professionalism they have I am sure the service on the vehicle is great

I was driving from Florida to Michigan when my van engine area got extremely noisey along with a burning smell on I-75 in Marietta. The motor was fine so I thought the transmission was going bad. I was concerned that, being from out of town, I would be ripped off but trusted the glowing 5 star reviews of Speedy Transmissions in Marietta. Well Josh, Chris and the techs are among the nicest and most honest people I've ever dealt with. They test drove the van twice and plugged in their diagnostic machine. Afterwards they explained that the transmission was working perfectly and explained that due to the extreme hot weather and the traffic slowdown on I-75 my fan clutch on the front of the engine was working overtime to cool the engine. The said I could continue my trip. I even offered to pay them for their time but they refused.

Recently Took my Dodge Dakota to Speedy Transmission and I am pleased to say that 3 days later I am driving my truck again.The Service was great and even though I shopped around , I was not shopping for the cheapest, I was shopping for Quality. What a great experience! I recently took my 04 Trailblazer to Speedy Transmission and i can't say thank you enough to Kristina Magic and Chris. It's so hard nowadays to find good, professional and HONEST people. They are extremely knowledgeable and the price is so reasonable (don't get me wrong, it hurt to pay $2k but it would've been a lot more somewhere else) for the quality of work they do. They were in constant communication with me during the repair; they have this text message system that informs you what stage of the repair your car is in - kudos for that. They stayed within the price range they told me before they took the transmission down even thought unexpected additional repairs were needed. I love the fact that they invest in training for their team, as a matter of fact Chris was about to go to Vegas for some additional training. All in all, I would recommend Speedy Transmission 100%.

Best kept secret in Marietta. Not only do they have a system that auto updates you every step of repair but it comes with a one year warranty. Josh Is AWESOME, ask for him. One of the best car mechanics I've ever worked with. My 2004 VW Passat had what I thought was a bad transmission. Speedy figured out that it was actually a computer system problem and instead of spending $4000 on a not needed transmission, I spent $1200 on resetting my computer system and replacing some transmission mounts. Needless to say, they were a life saver. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Very attentive and great customer service, fair pricing, and fast but great work.

Kristina coached me on what to say in order to get my car out of AAMCO without having to pay them the ridiculous $750 that they were asking for (for taking my transmission apart without my permission) and it worked. I can not talk this place up enough. So a little backstory my truck is a 1970 Jeep Gladiator. I brought my truck in because of a leak and they soon discovered that my transmission case was cracked. Now my vehicle being 50 years old is already a problem when it comes to finding parts but my vehicle is also very rare and there are hardly no parts still being made. So a cracked transmission might as well have been the nail in the coffin. But they looked everywhere they could for a week and a half and was able to find the parts I needed. They never gave me any slack for taking up space at their shop for so long and in fact seemed to enjoy getting to work on my vehicle. They finished up the work quickly after the parts come in, and then my truck wouldn't start. The wiring in my truck was really messed up so I had an idea of what the problem was and they were nice enough to let me take a crack at it and even use their tools. We got the truck running and I was on my way. They didn't charge me for any of the extra time my truck took up space and were kind and courteous the whole time. Kristina and the guys in the shop are some of the friendliest and most professional people I've met. As someone who served 4 years in the Marine Corps seeing people who so genuinely enjoy and take pride in their work is a breath of fresh air.

I have, on two separate occasions, taken a vehicle to this Speedy Transmission location where I was informed that the problem I was thought was transmission related was actually not my transmissions at all. This is a very overdue review. I do apologize to Speedy Transmission of Marietta, but most of all to the beautiful people in Georgia and travelers from all places of course. Speedy Trans is not only very professional, knowledgeable,and more than capable of diagnosing and repairing your vehicles. Speedy Trans will work with you to give you the best price possible. In our families experience we saved literally thousands of dollars. We were told a certain price in the beginning; yet due to some unforeseen complications the price went up drastically. Not only was the price originally more than fair, but after I was told about the price accumulation due to those complication that I had mentioned before. Kristina (owner/operator of Speedy Trans) informed me that not only would she keep to the original price that she had given me, but that to take care of the difference she would take up the rest of the financial burden. Kristina also decided to upgrade some thing on the motor homes transmission computer for free since they already had it down. Honestly of all that I have mentioned so far I personally don't think you can easily find this combination anywhere; and yet after all of this review the real reason our family and friends would undoubtedly go to Speedy Trans is due to the unbelievably great people that make up the Speedy Trans family. I know it's a long review ,but I also know how important it is to pick the right shop to trust and put your faith in. As far as i am concerned Kristina and her families( her own family and the shop ) were a true GODsend. In the week of Christmas and New Years was when a family from Chicago was stranded in Atlanta on their way to Miami. At a time when everyone around us was taking advantage of us due to our situation. GOD sent us to Kristina who not only gave us hope, but was the best Christmas gift ever to this day. Not having the right equipment for a 31' Motorhome they went out of there way to help us. My childrens birthdays were also in the first week of January which Kristina also went out of her way to get them presents. I brought my F150 here after I had some sputtering at low RPMs while hauling a camper. Not only did they get to my vehicle to run the diagnostic quickly but they also called me to inform me it wasn't my transmission that was the issue. Turned out to be cylinder misfire. She did not charge me for the test and offered to refer me to a good mechanic. While they didn't perform any work for me, I could tell they were customer-centric as many other people have shared here. Because of this I will definitely refer anyone I know their way.

They paid for me to get home when I pulled my van up in 2nd gear. I gladly give 5 stars for Speedy Transmission of Marietta. They rebuilt the transmission on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 5 years ago and I've put 80k miles on it since with zero issues. I just had to have the transmission rebuilt on a 2000 Lexus GS300 and I definitely took it to Speedy Transmission. Had it back for a couple weeks now and it drives like brand new again. The prices were fair both times and the work was done in a timely manner. I highly recommend then for any transmission issue!

Speedy Transmissions helped me through the entire process! Initially, I attempted to diagnose the issue myself. Thinking it was the Torque Converter I performed the R/R. Even with attempting to do it on my own Kristina allowed me to talk to a very knowledgeable and pleasent mechanic. He offered me sound advice on what to look for during my self repair. Which is very rare, most shops will not allow you to get professional advice from them. Fast Forward, I performed the R/R but once the trans was installed with the new Torque Converter the bolt pattern did not match, wrong part! At that point, I towed it to Speedy! Keeping me in the loop once dropped, they diagnosed the issue and gave me the repair options. In their repair, Speedy realized that it was more than a Torque Converter issue. It was a bearing that failed in the transmission which cased my issue. I now have my vehicle back with confidence in the repair along with a 12mo/unlimited mile warranty! Thank you Speedy Transmission for your professional help!

Mechanically clueless. Thought I was having transmission trouble. Have been ripped off twice before on car repairs. They put my car through all the diagnostics. Ok. So some may wonder why I gave the five stars, well that's easy, they earned it. Here's why. 1. Speedy is speedy. They diagnosed (for free) the transmission issue and had me in and out in under thirty minutes. 2. Chris fully explained his findings and what it would take to fix the problem completely. 3. Kristina ( the owner ) was spot on helping with explaining the issue and giving an immediate estimate of the cost including how long it would take to put my Avalanche back on the road. 4. There was NO pressure to get me to do the work there. They were happy to do it or for me to get another opinion and estimate. No hard selling no upselling. 5. The estimate they provided was actually a bit LESS than my normal mechanic ( whom I've used on at least 10 cars n trucks over 30 years said it would be). 6. The truck was ready within an hour of when they said it would be, which was a five working day estimate. 7. The cost was actually LESS THAN THE ESTIMATED 2500. 8. Overall Kristina, Chris and their crew are professionals and even more importantly HONEST!

My neighbor was trying to help me find a reliable transmission shop so he looked at reviews. Let me tell you the reviews paid off. By far the greatest customer service and repair for my transmission. I highly recommend this business. I previously went to a dealership in Canton hoping to get great service and they created more problems all at my expense. Speedy Transmission came and towed my truck as I was afraid to really damage something. They were so helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again for my automotive.

Today I took my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to Speedy Marietta knowing that it needed a torque converter. Kristina welcomed me in and had a technician, Chris, talk to me and check out my Jeep. I was surprised he knew so much about that particular model and its transmission. He explained the function of the torque converter and the problems associated with this particular type. I rode with him as he drove my Jeep and monitored the computer, explaining the readings to me. He was with me about 45 minutes and there was no charge for the diagnosis. Chris assured me that the new torque converter is an improved, heavier duty model. I'm confident that Kristina and her crew will do a good job for me, so I'm taking the Jeep in tomorrow. I'll update my review in the near future.

The driveshaft and gas line on my husband's truck had a very unfortunate incident on the expressway two Saturday mornings ago. We were towed to Speedy. Since they aren't open on Saturdays, we talked with them Monday morning. The truck is a long bed which makes it extremely difficult to find the correct replacement. They tried many times, each time receiving a part they could not use. We were always kept in the loop on the status and never felt like they were ignoring us. After so many attempts, the team came up with a different solution and were able to get the repairs done. Repairs are great! The truck runs well and my husband is very happy with the job done. If you want a place that treats you well, works very hard to make things right, communicates with you on every step AND gives very fair pricing - this is the place! I only wish I could give them more stars! Thanks!

Kristina was absolutely awesome. The staff worked diligently to work on my transmission and when realized it was something else causing the decrease in my acceleration, Kristina gave me a great referral. I took my car to the referral and my car was fixed in less than an hour. Not only do I trust their honesty and professionalism to bring my car here for my transmission, I love that I can call or walk in and get great referrals for other car issues.

Go here. Period. As someone who's been lied to and taken advantage of by mechanics and dealerships everywhere, and spent a small fortune trying to maintain or inevitably having to buy replacement vehicles, I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it feels to have found a trustworthy mechanic. I shopped around for quotes before coming here. Most mechanics didn't even look under the hood before telling me that I would likely need an entirely new transmission because my "check engine light" was showing codes for a few transmission-related issues that would involve taking everything apart to replace a few small parts, which is a lot of labor, and so I'd be better off replacing the transmission. I came here, they took 45 minutes to look under the hood (for free) and discovered that my wires had been exposed and were rubbing up against my engine, causing the transmission-related symptoms I was experiencing (insanely bipolar gear-shifting, I mean just all over the place. I looked like a 15 year-old learning to drive stick-shift for the first time and failing miserably). They fixed my wires, and now my car drives like a dream. Absolutely amazing. And for more than $1,300 less than what I was quoted by the other shops. Just going to mention this for the women out there who aren't super mechanically-inclined: every time I've been screwed over, it's been because men have taken advantage of my little knowledge of car mechanics. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I believe this shop is woman-owned or at least woman-run, a woman fixed my car, and I could not be happier with their level of honesty and integrity. So, if you struggle with trusting mechanics because you, too, have been exploited a time or two, definitely go here! #girlpower

I was told by another garage that I needed a new transmission and it was going to be $3500, I went to Speedy to get a price and their professional team looked after me well. They diagnosed that it wasn't a Transmission problem at all and referred me to someone that could help with the issue that I had. So nice to deal with a company of integrity, thank you!

We brought in our Jeep grand Cherokee, it was starting out in 3rd gear and had a check engine light for a governor pressure solenoid. Chris test drove it and felt it could be fixed with a new pressure solenoid & sensor with a transmission service. Another shop would not even quote us on this option, told us the transmission had internal damage and needed a complete rebuild for $1895. We were not willing to pay that much and were looking into replacing the vehicle. We brought it to Speedy and got the recommended repairs, there was no internal damage to the transmission, the sensor and solenoid fixed the problem and the transmission is working perfectly! I work in the automotive service industry, I appreciate that they did the needed repairs without trying to upsell based on the age and mileage of the vehicle. Everyone was friendly and professional and I highly recommend them! I refer my customers to them for transmission repairs.

I had a great experience. I found them in a Google search. They did everything they said they would. The price didn't exceed their estimate. They paid for me to get home when I pulled my van up in 2nd gear. They were vey friendly through the entire process, from the staff in the front, all the way to the service tech that stayed over 15 minutes so I could get it back a day earlier than they originally thought. One of the best car mechanics I've ever worked with. My 2004 VW Passat had what I thought was a bad transmission. Speedy Marietta-Transmission Shop figured out that it was actually a computer system problem and instead of spending $4000 on a not needed transmission, I spent $1200 on resetting my computer system and replacing some transmission mounts. Needless to say, they were a life saver. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Very attentive and great customer service, fair pricing, and fast but great work.

What a great experience! I recently took my 04 Trailblazer to Speedy Marietta-Transmission Shop and I can't say thank you enough to Kristina Magic and Chris. It's so hard nowadays to find good, professional and HONEST people. They are extremely knowledgeable and the price is so reasonable (don't get me wrong, it hurt to pay $2k but it would've been a lot more somewhere else) for the quality of work they do. They were in constant communication with me during the repair; they have this text message system that informs you what stage of the repair your car is in - kudos for that. They stayed within the price range they told me before they took the transmission down even though unexpected additional repairs were needed. I love the fact that they invest in training for their team, as a matter of fact Chris was about to go to Vegas for some additional training. All in all, I would definitely recommend Speedy Marietta-Transmission Shop 100%.

Best kept secret in Marietta. Not only do they have a system that auto updates you every step of repair, but it comes with a one year warranty. Josh is AWESOME, ask for him. They also have 1 of the 3 master transmission technicians in Georgia. They definitely know their stuff. They even cut me a break on my transmission repair for Christmas. LOVE THESE PEOPLE! I admit I was scared to go to any transmission shop because I don't know anything about transmissions so whatever I am told I wouldnt know any better. My car was really acting up and I feared the worst but after these folks diagnosed it they called to say I did not need a new transmission. It was just some electrical thing and they fixed it for $89. Don't think I'll be going anywhere else. They even gave me a ride to work when I dropped it off. Ask for Christina!

Kristina is awesome! They replaced the transmission in my mustang after a horrible situation at AAMCO in which I was taken advantage of because of my gender. Kristina coached me on what to say in order to get my car out of AAMCO without having to pay them the ridiculous $750 that they were asking for (for taking my transmission apart without my permission) and it worked. This is a very overdue review. I do apologize to Speedy Marietta-Transmission Shop, but most of all to the beautiful people in Georgia and travelers from all places of course. Speedy Trans is not only very professional, knowledgeable,and more than capable of diagnosing and repairing your vehicles. Speedy Marietta-Transmission Shop will work with you to give you the best price possible. In our family's experience we saved literally thousands of dollars. We were told a certain price in the beginning; yet due to some unforeseen complications the price went up drastically. Not only was the price originally more than fair, but after I was told about the price accumulation due to the complications I mentioned before, Kristina (owner/operator of Speedy Marietta-Transmission Shop) informed me that not only would she keep to the original price that she had given me, but that to take care of the difference, she would take up the rest of the financial burden. Kristina also decided to upgrade some things on the motor home's transmission computer for free since they already had it down.
