Kristina, Owner/Operator

  • Kristina was born in Florida and raised in Florida and Virginia. She and her daughter moved to Georgia from Ohio in 2010 to be closer to family. After a twenty-year career in the telecom industry, Kristina had the opportunity to work for Speedy Transmission. Now as owner/operator of Speedy Marietta, Kristina enjoys serving her community in providing excellent customer service and a highly trained team for customers. She enjoys working with people and handling the administrative and marketing tasks for Speedy Marietta Transmission Shop. In her spare time, Kristina loves spending time with her daughter and friends, as well as participating in outdoor activities, especially camping, water sports, scrapbooking, cooking, hiking, and snow-skiing.

Melvin Fite, Service Advisor

  • Melvin was born and raised in Georgia. He has been in the transmission business for forty years, starting out as an R&R man, then becoming a builder, and eventually owning his own transmission shop. After thirty-three years as a shop owner, Melvin decided it was time to relax some, so he closed his business, Prestige Transmission. He soon found retirement to be a bit boring, so Melvin decided to help us here at Speedy Marietta. We are thrilled to have him! In his spare time, Melvin enjoys working on vehicles, driving fast cars, and watching auto races. He is so proud of his son who served five years in the United States Marine Corps, and he also adores his two shih tzus.

Chris, Master Certified Builder

  • Chris was born and raised in Southern California. He and wife, Julie, have been married for over 30 years. They are proud parents of a son and two daughters. Chris and Julie are now experiencing life as empty nesters, except for their beloved fur babies. Chris moved to Georgia from California several years ago to be closer to family. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time fishing, camping, and attending drag races. Chris is a Master Certified Builder who takes pride in his work and continued training.

Kate Crum, Lead Diagnostician

  • Kate was born in Portland, Oregon, but has spent most of her life in Georgia. She graduated with a degree in Automotive Technology from Chattahoochee Tech. She has been a service advisor and was a mechanic for eight years at a successful shop in Roswell. Kate absolutely loves working on cars, and continued education and training are particularly important to her. In Kate's spare time she enjoys playing video games and spending time with her boyfriend, Patrick, and her family. She especially likes Sundays, having game night with her sister, niece, and two nephews.

Angela Wheeler, Marketing Coordinator

  • Angela (aka Angie) is the most recent addition to the Speedy family. She has worked out of Washington D.C. as an editor and marketing coordinator for twenty-five years. Her family recently moved to her husband's home-state of Georgia a few years ago. Angie loves the beauty of Georgia and the friendly people. One of her favorite sayings is "I wasn't born in Georgia, but I got here as fast as I could." When she's not at the Speedy Marietta shop helping Kristina with marketing, she loves spending time with her husband, Scott, and their children. Angie loves crafting, painting, and home DIY projects. She has just started gardening but is reserving comments on how much she enjoys it until she knows if anything actually survives.

Stylez & Riley, Welcoming Committee

  • Besides being the most adorable hounds ever, Stylez and Riley help with greeting customers and customer relations. Stylez and Riley are part-time residents at the shop and love new visitors! When you come in to greet us, be sure to say hello to our furry friends, too! They are always eager to make new friends. Our number one priority is giving you the best service and experience at a transmission repair center you have ever encountered. Please let Stylez and Riley know how we can improve during your visit. They keep us on our toes. We appreciate your feedback!

Rebuilt transmission. My car drives like it's new.
, 01/17/2021

Hi all, so back in August I bought a used 03 suburban with 178k on the odometer and was in exellent interior and exterior shape as well mechanically (or so I thought) Within the first week of ownership the transmission was shifting quite hard from 1-2 And after searching around this place came up with good reviews and decided to bring it in for diagnostic, and sadly my good deal purchase was going to need a transmission... Decided to bite the bullet as the rest of truck was really good shape and let this shop rebuild it. I waited to write the review becouse I wanted to see how it did in months of driving and all I can say is this is by far the best experience I've gotten out a rebuild unit (I've had 3 transmissions rebuilt in my lifetime) super smooth and shifting like new!!!! Very happy with results and will recommend this shop to anyone that is need of transmission service. Very professional and very competitive pricing!!!!!!

If you have transmission problems with your Vehicle call Speedy's. I couldn't be more happy with the work they did to my Toyota. Tell them Chaplain Ingle sent you.

reviewiconNot a Hassle
My clutch went out and left me stranded on the side of the road. They were the first ones I called, and they accepted my car without hesitation. They were super friendly and not a hassle to talk to. They got my car done within 2 weeks and it shifts gears like a dream again!

reviewiconA Gem in Marietta
What a gem we have here in Marietta. Kristina and the crew at Speedy are most professional and honest. My 91 VW Jetta is having shifting issues and after seeing such good reviews I decided to give this place a try. Boy I am glad I did. I had already taken this to another shop who gave me an outrageous price to fix without even looking at the car. Speedy took time to diagnose my vehicle and determined it is in need of bushings. They felt another local mechanic was better suited to do this work and pointed me in his direction. Even though they had my VW for two days and used their lift to thoroughly diagnose, they charged me nothing. Businesses like this should be commended and should go far. I will definitely be back when issue warrants and I will shout their name from the rooftops.
